Rules tab
The Rules tab displays the appointment rules associated with the selected appointment rule set. You can add, edit, or delete appointment rules using this tab.
Use appointment rules to define when a user can create an appointment, when an appointment is valid at a gate, and the maximum number of appointments allowed for each time slot.
You cannot create more than one appointment rule for the same time slot for the same day, unless you are creating a day override rule to override an existing general rule.
The following illustration displays seven different appointment rules. To simplify this illustration, each appointment rule covers the entire day. Therefore, these rules do not overlap. However, you can have more than one appointment rule for the same day, as long as these appointment rules do not cover the same time slots. For example, you can have one rule for the morning hours and another for the afternoon hours.
In addition, the three red vertical lines each represent a day override rule for that day.

If an appointment exists for an appointment rule, you cannot delete the appointment rule. Instead, you can edit the end date for the appointment rule to make it inactive after the last existing appointment.
